Carol is passionate about the extraordinary transformative value of creative and performing arts education and training. Carol’s expertise is wide ranging she is an examiner and moderator for three performance arts awarding organisations in drama, acting, dance and musical theatre coupled with her professional performing experience which includes; theatre, recording, touring and voice-overs.
Carol has spent most of her life in the performing arts as both a performer and teacher. Carol completed an MA in Drama and Theatre Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Advanced Teaching of Shakespeare at the University of Warwick to add to a BA and postgraduate teaching qualifications.
As a lecturer and programme lead, Carol directed a number of musicals and high profile productions at Stratford upon Avon College before working as a drama consultant and in qualification development for two awarding organisations. Carol has extensive experience in formal and informal educational contexts and successfully manages the CHB School of Performing Arts in the West Midlands now its third decade encouraging and training young people to aim high and achieve their goals.
Carol advocates opportunities and routes to employability and achievement in the creative industries for all, and as a trustee for CCSkills will remain fully focused on the core aims of the organisation.
