Vilma started her career in retail, working first in sales, managing stores and then in Human Resources for Monsoon Accessorize. She has also worked for Arts Council England and local government in strategic resourcing and policy roles with focus on workforce development, skills, diversity and inclusion.
As Tate’s Head of Organisational Development, Vilma chaired Tate’s LGBT+ employee network as well as the Tate for All-People and Culture Group, Tate’s diversity and inclusion forum on workforce and organisational culture. . She recently led on the People and Culture plans for the new Tate Modern, a 260 million extension to the existing Tate building in London’s Bankside.
She has a MSc in Organisational Psychology from City University, London and is currently completing a post graduate diploma in Coaching. Vilma is passionate about creativity in education, skills for young people as well as making the creative industries as inclusive as possible to everyone.
Vilma volunteers as an Enterprise Advisor in East London, helping schools with their careers provision to all young people. She is also an Employment Tribunal Lay Member.
