Lewis Marsh, Graphic Design & Marketing Executive

Lewis is the Head of Studio at SharpFutures, a social enterprise, where he manages and creates graphics which are used for print or online. He started off as a graphic design apprentice and in 2018 was awarded Apprentice of the Year at the Creative & Cultural Skills Awards.


Lottie Wigmore, online distance learning apprentice

Lottie helps create, design and develop online courses for both institutional and international learners. She explains how her experience working with design helped secure her apprenticeship and talks about what the role involves.

RSA Student Design Awards team

The RSA Student Design Awards have been running for 93 years, helping young designers develop their skills and gain employment. In 2017 the team behind the programme were awarded the Creative & Cultural Skills Design Skills Award.


Mole Wetherell, artistic director

Mole Wetherell trained as a designer, and is now artistic director of theatre company Reckless Sleepers.


Admir adds light fittings to digital designs, and oversees implementation once construction is finished.

Admir Jukanovic, lighting designer

Admir works for lighting design company Mindseye. He works with architects and interior designers to enhance interior spaces with light.


Alison Jardine, painter

Born in Yorkshire, Alison now lives and works in Dallas, Texas making paintings with unusual media such as cement. She explains her career journey and offers tips on becoming a visual artist.

Simon Webb, digital account manager

Simon works for a global digital marketing agency. He got into account management through a graduate scheme, offering him a structured introduction to his career.


Steve Bamford, artist and scenic constructor

Steve builds and often designs scenery for theatre, film and television production companies. He has worked on films such as City of Ember and HBO’s Game of Thrones.


Emma's collections are inspired by the decor and buildings of the Victorian era.

Emma Turpin, designer and maker

Emma Turpin set up her own jewellery brand after graduating with a degree in Jewellery. As well as designing her collections, she works at a gallery as an assistant jeweller.


Kate Unwin, set and costume designer

Kate Unwin is a freelance set and costume designer. Her work is split between home, where she designs, and the theatres where her designs are built.


Karen Collier, fashion recruitment consultant

Karen started out working in a clothing factory, training to be a sample machinist. She then worked her way up within the fashion industry until she was running her own recruitment business. Karen explains her career journey and offers tips for getting into fashion recruitment.


Claire Durrant, user experience designer

Claire's entry into user experience design was borne out of a passion for making products and services better for people to use. She explains how she got there without having to go to university and offers advice for becoming a user experience designer.

Costume designer Mona Kastell specialises in costume for street arts and circus companies.
