Hi Claus,

If you're looking to get into web design, the first thing to say is that it's a very competitive industry - so you really need to be dedicated and passionate in order to succeed. That said; in terms of getting into web design, employers are looking for candidates with strong, diverse portfolios - so you really need to get some experience under your belt. Look out for local internships or approach local digital agencies for some work experience - any experience will look great on your CV and will give you a chance to get professional hands-on experience.

In terms of experience, you could also volunteer to produce some web design work for local charities or clubs - again, this is more experience which you can add to your CV. In terms of skills and programmes, you'll need to be familiar with programmes like Photoshop, InDesign and Fireworks - and you'll also probably need to be familar with things like HTML and CSS - things like W3 Schools and Codecademy can help with this.

I hope that helps smile
