How do I become an interior designer?

Hi, I'm 27 and would like to re-train as an interior designer, I don't really have the option of going back to university but wonder if I would be able to get work without a university degree?

I have worked as an Assistant buyer on homewares and interiors for over 3 years so I have experience with home interiors, styling and visual merchandising.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Lucy

Have you considered an online interior design course? This will allow you to earn while you learn.

From looking at your background, perhaps you would be interested in a Retail Design course.

www.nda.ac.uk have a good range of online courses.

I hope this helps

Anthony
