Acting: Contemporary

This weekend short study course introduces the skills required for performing contemporary theatre.

This is an intensive experience and is led by a professional theatre director who works all over the UK. It involves practical exercises designed to challenge and stretch you in a creative and supportive environment.

This contemporary acting course aims to increase your confidence and understanding of how to analyse, explore and rehearse text.

This short study course is suitable for professional actors, community or amateur dramatics performers and teachers who wish to:

develop confidence and experience of performing text

gain a greater understanding of how the voice and body can be used in performance

learn about the basics of character development

discover techniques for analysing and interpreting text

explore playing scenes and monologues from contemporary pla
