Acting: Radio and Voiceover Technique Adult Summer School

This course offers an chance for students to experience all aspects of radio and voice-over work

This intensive five-day summer school offers an opportunity for students to experience all aspects of radio and voice-over work in a conservatoire setting.

Throughout the course you will have access to professional equipment and studios. You will be tutored by one of Scotland’s most prolific voice artists, and gain insight into the industry.

This summer school is particularly suited to students who are seeking a professional training experience or who are thinking about acting, radio or voice-over as career options. It may also be of particular interest to theatre professionals who wish to develop and adapt their skills and gain an insight into radio and voice-over work.

This course is suitable for training, professional and amateur actors who want to:

develop an understanding of the essential aspects of acting for radio and voice-overs

work on vocal techniques through workshops in a professional studio

record a variety of pieces from adverts to trails

take part in a radio drama workshop and have the opportunity to record one

gain an understanding of the business and discover how you might find work
