This course is suitable for students and teachers with performance experience.

Date: 2 March 2019, 10:00 — 3 March 2019, 17:00

This course is suitable for students and teachers with performance experience. It will introduce the theory and practice of Alexander Technique and explore how it can be applied in a variety of specialisms.

Alexander Technique is an educational process which incorporates hands-on work, movement skills and mindfulness.

It is unique in its emphasis on ‘non-doing’, a process which restores your default settings and eliminates the patterns of habitual interference that prevent us from reaching our potential.

Many performers use the Alexander Technique to support vocal and breathing work, to prevent pain and reduce stress and anxiety.

By the end of the course, you will have:

gained knowledge of F.M. Alexander’s theory and practice

learned practical uses of the principles for everyday practice

learned how to apply the Alexander Technique to your own specialism

improved your ability to solve problems and deal with learning blocks
