Members of Castlefield Gallery Associates, our scheme for artists, writers and independent curators, are invited to propose an exhibition for spring 2020 as part of the gallery’s exhibition programme.

The selected Castlefield Gallery Associate will receive a budget of up to £2,000 as well as curatorial guidance and technical support for the exhibition that will run from 22 May-21 June 2020.

Castlefield Gallery is looking for timely and ambitious proposals which enable those involved to significantly develop their practice and profile. Proposals can be for a solo or group exhibition or other project such as a series of participatory events or the use of the gallery as a project space.

Castlefield Gallery is thrilled to announce that our spring 2020 Members Exhibition will be co-selected with Castlefield Gallery Curator Matthew Pendergast and guest selector Ryan Gander OBE.

Gander studied at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam, NL and the Jan van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht, NL. He frequently exhibits internationally, developing major projects for festival and biennials. His work is held in several public collections across Europe, the USA and Asia including Arts Council England, Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA and The National Museum of Art, Osaka, Japan.
