Contemporary Performance Encounters Adult Summer School

This course has been developed as a companion to Contemporary Performance Practice Summer School

Contemporary Performance Encounters aims to introduce participants to Contemporary Performance through attending performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, discussing the process and critiquing the works with the performance artists, and engaging in an array of workshops which will deepen the participants understanding of contemporary performance in theory and practice.

This course has been developed as a companion to Contemporary Performance Practice Summer School, enabling participants to engage in the conceptual, theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary performance led by practising artists presenting work in the Edinburgh Fringe.

Expose participants to contemporary performances at the Edinburgh Fringe

Engage participants in discussions and critique with contemporary performance practitioners

Introduce participants to key methods and approaches to contemporary performance

Prepare participants for auditioning for the CPP programme
