Strategic Partnerships Between Arts Organisations and Higher Education Institutions in the Development of the UK Creative Economy.

Join us in considering perspectives from across arts, culture and higher education to share examples of best practice, which harness the potential of cross-sector collaboration between artists, cultural organisations and higher education institutions.

Thursday 21st March
The conference opens with its main day of programming. Exploring the focal theme of the conference will be established artists and arts organisations, alongside academics and strategic leads from universities nationwide. The day will include a variety of talks, presentations, provocations and workshops, making it possible to consider the role of partnerships between universities and the creative and cultural sector.

Friday 22nd March
Day two of the conference will focus on the compulsory education sector, and how partnerships between universities, schools and creative organisations/young people can ensure impactful creative education for all. Represented on the day will be young people from local schools and colleges, and educational stakeholders such as ROH Bridge and Cultural Education Partnerships.

Saturday 23rd March 2019
The conference concludes with local creatives coming together to celebrate collaborations and partnerships. In a diverse offering of performances and exhibitions, artists and creative practitioners will be testing and sharing their work. There will also be opportunities for creative freelancers to access information clinics through Testbeds Artist's Enterprise Zone.
