This intensive one-day course is ideal for people age 16+ who are interested in developing the skills required for creating and performing theatre using movement, dance, mime and the human body.

Physical theatre is a fascinating field that is increasingly popular in the professional theatre world. This engaging course is an opportunity to learn more about how it is created and work on developing the skills required for physical performance and non-vocal story-telling.

Practical exercises will be used to get participants thinking about how to use their body to communicate meaning, story and relationships in new and exciting ways.

By the end of this course you will have:

Learned to warm up the body and work physically within your own abilities

Focused on the physical and creative skills required for performance

Explored practical methods of creating new physical theatre material

Developed your own unique style of physical performance
