Scottish International Youth Piano Competition Summer School

This summer, we are delighted to present the 4th Scottish International Youth Piano Competition.

Date: 22 July 2019, 10:00 — 27 July 2019, 17:00

This summer, we are delighted to present the 4th Scottish International Youth Piano Competition for younger pianists of great potential from around the world.

All students attending our piano summer school, for ages 12 – 17, will have the opportunity to compete for a place in the final on Saturday 27 July 2019. A distinguished jury, chaired by Associate Head of Keyboard Fali Pavri, will select the prize winners. The 1st prize in our senior category will be awarded the Sam Hutchings
Memorial Award with the Moray Prize going to the winner of our Junior Category.

Senior (ages 15 – 17)

1st Round: 12 – 15 minute free choice recital with a minimum of two contrasting works.

2nd Round: 20-25 minute free choice recital, which may include one work from the previous round.

Juniors (ages 12 – 14)

1st Round: 8-10 minute free choice recital with a minimum of two contrasting works.

2nd Round: 10-12 minute free choice recital, which may include one work from the previous round
