Arts Project Evaluator

Opportunity for freelance evaluator for outreach arts programme

Application deadline: February 25th 2019

ArtSpeak is a new peripatetic outreach arts programme from Radford Care Group in Nottingham that will run until October 2021.

We are looking for an experienced evaluator to work with us for the duration of the programme from March 2019 – October 2021

ArtSpeak is an open invitation for people aged 60+ to get out, get creative, feel good and enjoy life to the full. Our belief is that cultural engagement at any age underpins emotional stability and benefits health and wellbeing. ArtSpeak hubs will be set up and will become social meeting points where participants can enjoy the arts, share and develop creative skills. An enriched arts programme will be embedded into these hubs meeting the interests and desires of the participants.

As an evaluator for the project you will be a critical friend and gain information from our participants through a variety of techniques and methods that will help us to learn what is working well and what not so well.

The evaluator will contribute to the project as part of the steering group, they will lead the steering group and recommend parameters for evaluation that will take place throughout the project. The information gained will come from participants, artists, workshop leaders, ArtSpeak Champions, staff and volunteers. The project has four outcomes which the monitoring process will need to address in order to demonstrate if they are being met. If outcomes are not being achieved, the evaluator will work with us to look at how we can change our approach or take on new ways of engagement to reach our target group.

The evaluator needs to set up a system that will inform the project and allow us to determine if we are meeting our outcomes in line with the aims and ethos of Radford Care Group.

Deadline for proposals is Monday 25th February.
