Board of trustee member

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and skilled board members

Voluntary Role

Application deadline: November 4th 2019

The Bernie Grant Arts Centre is a unique multi-art form venue in Tottenham, north London, inspired by the vision of the late Bernie Grant MP.

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and skilled board members to join our organisation as we embark on an exciting chapter of change, led by our new Artistic Director/CEO Hannah Azieb Pool.

Our purpose-built complex, designed Sir David Adjaye and opened in 2007, has a 274-seat theatre, multi-purpose studio spaces, boutique cinema, a clustering of 20 enterprise units, and an award-winning Café & Bar.

We champion innovative work by black artists, with a particular focus on performance, literature, dance, music, film and visual arts.

We are looking for new board members who are passionate about the role of the arts to affect social change to help us increase our organisational reach and expertise at this crucial time. The Bernie Grant Arts Centre is in an exciting period of growth and resurgence and we are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of this.

As a valued member of our board you will work with the executive team to set the vision and strategy for the charity, provide good governance and ensure our resources are expended in an efficient and responsible manner.
