Casual Duty Venue Manager

£15.00 per hour

The existing Visitor Services team are looking for a casual team member to join the two Visitor Operations Managers and the Senior Visitor Operations Manager in heading up the many gigs, performances, events and shows that take place at the Roundhouse. 2019 will be another busy year and therefore the role would be suitable for someone who is experienced as an operational manager at a high level in a similar sized live music venue or multi-faceted arts venue.

The role will be to take the Duty Manager position for the whole venue when there is a show or event in the main space as well as other activity across the site. This role has direct responsibility for volunteer ushers, box office, ticket check, cloakroom, members’ bar and security, and indirect responsibility for over-seeing bars, stage door, production and house-keeping. The role also takes charge in the event of an emergency and leads at bronze level.

The successful candidate must have a current and acceptable DBS check, or be willing to undertake one, due to the nature of the role.

The contract will be a casual agreement however, the majority of shifts will be evenings, 8-9 hours (sometimes longer) according to the venue programme. We are seeking someone who can start training in January and will be available to cover several shifts in February as Paternity Leave cover. After that, a standard flexible casual agreement continues.
