Bourg-Joly Malicorne is a tableware and decorative earthenware company founded in 1747 based in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, not far from Le Mans in France. All our pieces are handmade in our workshop using the traditional 18th century techniques. We are particularly well known for our openwork baskets and plates - www.malicorne.com
We produce tableware, openwork baskets, sculptures and decorative objects, tiles, planters, jardinieres etc. and we are looking for experiences craftspeople to come and work in our workshop in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe (1h30 from Paris by train).
We are looking for 2 craftspeople both with experience of throwing, calibration, stamping and mould work and if possible, glazing, hand painting and openwork. The ideal candidate would have experience of small scale production and kiln preparation and would be willing to relocate to France.
In addition we would ideally like to find someone that has some experience of managing a workshop, production schedules, quality control etc.
