Grade 10 - Starting at £42,975 per annum pro rata and rising to £47,361

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Part-Time Cultural Partnerships Manager to join our burgeoning team and become part of the City Council’s Cultural Services. Working closely with the Culture, Museums & Theatre Services Manager this fixed term role will focus on overseeing Chelmsford's participation in Essex 2020, Year of Science & Creativity which culminates in the British Science Festival (www.IgniteChelmsford.org.uk/Essex2020). The successful candidate will collaborate with and provide support for businesses, community groups, education providers, artists, scientists and engineers to ensure they can participate, as well as delivering the objectives in the City’s Cultural Strategy and helping the city harness the opportunities of Essex 2020 in its long term ambitions and development for 2040.
The ideal candidate for this role will be educated to a degree level (or equivalent experience), have great knowledge of national and regional creative industries and good knowledge of cultural services and their delivery in a local setting. It is essential that the successful candidate has strong negotiation and influencing skills and experience should include seeking opportunities and maintaining / managing relationships with partners.
