The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour, and one of the most important museums of its type in the world.  The collection is housed in three museums in the UK: its original home, the Tower of London, Fort Nelson, a restored Victorian fort and our purpose-built museum in Leeds.


This post is an excellent opportunity for a museum professional in the early stages of their career to gain a wide range of experience and knowledge of collections management.


We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will be committed to meeting targets as outlined in the Documentation Plan, working with a small dedicated team. You will be organised with attention to detail and a good team player.


You will work on a range of documentation tasks including location checking objects, data entry and data cleaning. You will assist with accessioning of objects and renewing long-term loans. You will also move objects to allow photography to take place.


This post is a permanent position based at Royal Armouries Leeds but travel to other Royal Armouries sites will be required.

Working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Weekend and evening work may be required.
