Front of House Ushers
£10.55 per hour

At the Royal Opera House, we give our audiences and visitors the best possible experience every time, all the time. Following a major redevelopment project (`Open Up`), we are welcoming even more people to attend our ballet and opera performances and learning and participation events, or to enjoy our new foyers and catering - especially during the day.
We are now looking for more people to join our dedicated, friendly and professional team of Ushers, working in one of the world`s busiest theatres at our iconic Covent Garden home. You would work three or six shifts per week, with each shift a minimum of four hours - with the possibility of working additional shifts in busy periods.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A commitment to and proven experience of providing excellent customer service to a wide range of people;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent numeracy skills and confidence in making sales with cash and cards;
- And are well-presented, organized, reliable and with an eye for detail,

We will be holding assessment days on 25th and 26th July 2019, where you can find out more about what it is like to work here and we can learn about your exceptional customer service skills. If you are successful at the assessment day, we will invite you to attend an interview on the morning of the 1st August 2019.
Am I eligible for the Assessment Day?
You must be available for one of the assessment days - 25th and 26th July 2019 and the interview date - 1st August 2019.
Most of our performances are during the evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays, so you must be able to work at these times. A minimum availability is required including Saturday evenings 5.15-11.30pm and Sundays 8.00am-6pm - please see the job description.
You will start the week beginning 2nd September 2019 and must also be available throughout the Christmas and New Year period
You must be over 18 and have existing work authorization for the UK.
