Pavilion Dance South West is a registered charity (1111641) dedicated to transforming communities through dance. This role will strengthen its position as a centre of excellence for dance supporting dance across South West England.
We have a lovely venue by the sea with a small-scale theatre (180 seats) and two dance studios. Our programme includes performances by professional and amateur companies, a wide variety of dance classes, workshops, conferences and creation time for companies to make new work.
Lizzy is going on maternity leave from August and is leading a website redesign from April so we are looking for a maternity cover person who will start with us early, work with Lizzy and then cover her maternity leave from August 2019. Hopefully this will give you a chance to learn from her, become familiar with the team and our ways and then have an enjoyable and productive maternity cover.
This job is all about communication and stories. PDSW is a place where hundreds of dance stories happen every day, and this role is about strategic curation. No two days are the same, and you’ll get to work with artists and audiences equally. You’ll get to communicate the joy of dance and make clear the important role a venue like PDSW plays in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
