Purpose of Role
To work with the Marketing Manager and Press and Media Relations Officer to increase the profile of FACT. This role will be instrumental in the building and implementation of marketing campaigns, and communicating FACT’s artistic programme to local, national and international audiences, both online and offline. This is a collaborative role, working closely with other teams across the organisation alongside artists, curators and stakeholders.
You are outgoing, energetic and entrepreneurial with a hands-on approach and a successful track record of supporting successful marketing campaigns. You have a range of skills, knowledge and experience relevant to marketing within the creative and cultural sectors. You are passionate about film, video, new media art and creative technology and providing an excellent visitor experience.
Work with the Marketing Manager to plan, implement, track and measure marketing campaigns.
Alongside the Marketing Manager, manage relationships with internal and external designers, developers, suppliers and distributors as required to support the work of the department.
Act as the overall web editor for the FACT website – ensuring content is up-to-date and accurate, utilising the site for campaign activity and liaising with the Marketing Manager and Press and Media Relations Officer to post relevant news stories and content.
Work with the Marketing Manager on the delivery of the FACT’s social media strategy and create content for FACT’s social media channels.
Lead on the planning and delivery of the e-marketing schedule, working with the Marketing Manager on the creation and delivery of emails.
Act as brand guardian for FACT and ensure all marketing collateral is on brand and consistent.
Support the Marketing Manager in planning and budgetary control of marketing campaigns.
Attend FACT events, for which occasional evening and weekend work is required, to document and share content online.
Be part of a team environment and contribute to overall plans and discussions to achieve successful outcomes.
Deputise for the Marketing Manager as and when necessary and undertake any additional duties as and when requested by the Marketing Manager or CEO/Director.
Demonstrable success in a previous similar marketing role.
Experience in planning and executing customer-facing marketing campaigns; including working with designers and printers in the production of printed collateral, managing print distribution.
IT literate with experience in using website CMS systems, email marketing and social media.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organised and reliable with excellent attention to detail and administration skills.
Ability to be proactive and professional in all aspects of the role.
Able to prioritise, handle multiple simultaneous tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
A degree, or equivalent in marketing or similar.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook Business, Mailchimp and Eventbrite.
