The role of the Participation Producer is to develop and manage a programme of in-house and outreach participation opportunities and projects focused on health and wellbeing outcomes. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, this role involves producing, devising and delivering dance opportunities and strategic projects with a wide range of partners in the community. A significant part of this role will be managing our Parkinson’s Dance and Connected Minds: Dance – our new dance programme delivered in partnership with Dorset Mind.
Parkinson’s Dance is our weekly dance class designed specifically for those living with Parkinson’s and their carers. It is a fun, creative and therapeutic class created by Parkinson’s Dance Science founders Aimee Hobbs and Neuro-Physiotherapist Dr Sophia Hulbert. This role manages the Bournemouth class and associated research projects. In addition, the Participation Producer maintains our relationships with associate Parkinson’s Dance classes and practitioners.
Connected Minds: Dance In partnership with Dorset Mind and funded by the RIO Cultural Education Challenge, we are pioneering a brand new dance programme for young people. Built around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, the project will be co-delivered by highly experienced community dance practitioners and Dorset Mind’s very own mental health specialists.

Salary: £25,000 pro rata
Terms: Part time, temporary contract maternity cover, minimum 8 months, with possible extension. We are open to discussion if an applicant was interested in applying in a freelance capacity.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
