Join Creative & Cultural Skills' England Programme Team

£30,000 pro rata

This role is designed to build new relationships with education providers, creative and cultural employers, Local Enterprise Partnerships and key industry stakeholders, whilst sustaining existing partnerships, with a view to increasing income, sector engagement and growing apprenticeships and work-related training opportunities across the industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Grow the education membership offer within the designated area
  • Provide 1:1 support to businesses within the Creative and Cultural industries to support the creation of new apprenticeship opportunities
  • Promote and secure the use of Creative Choices Online and Creative Choices Live Careers Events
  • Develop key communications, PR and partnership relationship management plans to support the promotion of Creative & Cultural Skills and its offer

Grow the education membership offer in your designated area

  • Establish dynamic partnerships with existing Education members, securing
  • continued investment and delivering respective programme plans
  • Develop productive relationships with new education partners securing additional and increasing investment year-on-year
  • Work with Education partners to develop unique, industry endorsed apprenticeship training offers that respond to sector demand
  • Develop a programme of employer engagement including, for example, live briefs and industry insight days for our Education members

Provide 1:1 support to businesses within the Creative and Cultural industries to support the creation of new apprenticeship and work placement opportunities

  • Pro-actively target levy and non-levy paying employers to inform them about the technical education reforms, helping identify meaningful apprenticeship and work placement opportunities within respective businesses
  • Shape and deliver an annual programme of sector support surgeries that help inform employers about apprenticeships, paid internships and pre-employability training as well as the technical education reforms, and the benefits of diversifying the workforce
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of the apprenticeship landscape and best practice recruitment of new entrants, becoming the go-to contact on the subject for the sector within the designated area

Promote and secure the use of Creative Choices Online and Creative Choices Live Careers Events

  • Develop and implement a high-quality annual programme of Creative Choices Live Careers Events (in-area) in partnership with employers, educators and key stakeholders
  • Support the development of Creative Choices online by developing blogs, identifying new industry contributors, and helping showcase careers activity within the designated area
  • Develop relationships with the National Careers and Enterprise Service and Careers Advisers in schools, colleges and training providers to increase reach and improve the sector-specific IAG that is provided to young people

Develop key communications, PR and partnership relationship management plans to support the promotion of Creative & Cultural Skills and its offer

  • Establish close working relationships with Local Enterprise Partnerships, Local Authorities and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring the sector is appropriately represented in local agendas so that Creative & Cultural Skills/sector partners are suitably positioned to respond to tenders and benefit from local skills funding
  • Sustain and grow creative clusters, aiding increased partnership working between education and industry
  • Create clear communication plans for the designated area, growing the profile and reach of Creative & Cultural Skills
  • Operate in a cost-effective way, ensuring value for money at all times

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work within the UK, and to work occasional unsocial hours
