Hubbub Theatre Company is looking to recruit a producer to support The Drum
Application deadline: July 25th 2019
Hubbub Theatre Company is recruiting for a producer to support their next Arts Council funded project The Drum. They’re looking to work with an ambitious producer who will bring their own strategic ideas to Hubbub with the hope that they can grow the position into a senior role within the company. Hubbub Theatre Company is at a very exciting point of development, thanks to Elevate funding which has had a hugely positive impact on the company. As they look ahead, opportunities for learning disabled artists to train, create and perform have never been championed and supported as much as it is presently. They believe the right producer will be able to harness this critical moment to carve an exciting trajectory for Hubbub and their own career development.
The Drum will see Hubbub work with Gecko's Associate Director, Helen Baggett who will be the Movement Collaborator on their project to develop a new touring production. The project will also allow Hubbub to actively disseminate their integrated methodology, and develop and share their increasingly ambitious artistic opportunities for people with learning disabilities in theatre in the East Midlands.
As an organisation committed to the development of producers in the cultural sector, opportunities for career development will be offered as integral to this role, in particular a mentorship with one of Hubbub’s partner organisations, Told by an Idiot, (delivered by their Executive Director). Their aim is to equip a committed professional to become a core part of their small team as they move ahead with our ambitious and exciting plans.
