We’re looking for a new part-time Trainee Audio Studio Manager to work with the team running the award winning Transmission Roundhouse. We produce the most creative and innovative content made by 18-25 year olds from the heart of one of London’s most exciting venues.
We’re hoping to find someone who wants to gain the skills and experience to carve their own career in the audio industry. You’ll work alongside the Station Manager, Broadcast Assistants and the talented station presenters and producers to deliver live sessions, innovative podcasts, festival outside broadcasts and content from a variety of projects. You’ll also be supporting the day-to-day running of the audio platform, building and maintaining the roster of shows, regularly supporting the station producers, and developing partnerships with community and industry based contacts as well as maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in the Roundhouse. The Trainee Audio Studio Manager will also maintain the online presence of the platform and continue to develop the content released by the platform.
You will also have the chance to complete a 1-2 week placement at a partner radio station, audio platform, production company or relevant organisation. The role involves working alongside the Broadcast and Digital Team to deliver content for The Last World Festival, Rising Festival and working collaboratively with the film team as we capture circus, music and digital installations in the Main Space.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative platform, so we’re looking for someone with a good level of studio and audio experience, who is enthusiastic about producing excellent audio, technical troubleshooting and works best when working with other people.

Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months
Hours: 32 hours/ 4 days per week (varied shift times; either 1000-1800 or 1300-2100)
Salary: £21, 944 per annum (pro rata)
1st Interviews - Wednesday 12th February 2020 from 10:00 – 18:00(There will be a group activity as well as an individual interview and tour of the studios.)
2nd Interviews – Friday 14th February 2020 15:00 – 17:00 (For final shortlist candidates only, there will be a set activity, as well as a coffee with additional members of the Roundhouse team.)
