The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour, and one of the most important museums of its type in the world. The collection is housed in three museums in the UK: its original home, the Tower of London, Fort Nelson, a restored Victorian fort and our purpose-built museum in Leeds.
We are looking for an experienced Trusts & Foundations Manager to lead on applications to trusts, foundations and public sector funding sources for key project across all our sites. This is an important role with the opportunity to make a critical contribution to Royal Armouries' corporate plan over the next 5 years, our cultural programme and ambitious and exciting plans for the future re-development of the museum.
The successful applicant will report into the Head of Development and be responsible for sourcing, and securing funding from trusts, foundations and public funding sources to achieve project targets. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development of projects with specific regard to fundraising potential, working closely with colleagues in the Development team and across the organisation.
A demonstrable track record of fundraising from trusts and foundations is essential, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal. Experience of submitting applications to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, knowledge of the heritage sector and proficiency in the use of relational databases are all desirable.

This post is full time working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 based at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds. Evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required.
