Young Audiences Content Fund Executive – Development
£44,673 - £52,263
Application deadline: February 25th 2019
We are seeking a Fund Executive to provide expert assessment on a wide range of projects intended for Young Audiences up to the age of 18 for the BFI Young Audiences Content Fund.
For background, this is a new team set up as the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has allocated £57m over three years to the BFI for the Young Audiences Content Fund to address a decline in commissioning content for children and young audiences. It will be a major new opportunity for creative UK content makers and commissioners to partner on the production and development of projects that embrace the values of public service broadcast content
The role will provide expert assessment on a wide range of projects intended for Young Audiences up to the age of 18 for the BFI Young Audiences Content Fund (YACF); reading and assessing submissions for development projects; identifying and tracking talent suitable for potential funding. The successful candidates will need to broker relationships with producers, broadcasters and financiers, industry peers and practitioners in adjacent industries – and in particular, emerging media.
Therefore the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in young audiences content; a track record of identifying and tracking developing relationships with stakeholders in TV industry as well as with talent; and a good working knowledge of the public service broadcasting industry and a commitment to other art forms.
Based in Leeds, you will enjoy benefits such as our pension scheme, excellent family support including flexible working, 28-33 days annual leave, tickets to BFI festivals and events plus many others.
