ENGLAND COLLEGES: The Artsmark application form is now live

ENGLAND COLLEGES: The Artsmark application form is now live-Apply before 26 July

Artsmark enables educational settings to evaluate, strengthen and gain national recognition for their arts and cultural provision. Artsmark is delivered by Trinity College London on behalf of Arts Council England. In 2012, it extended its programme to include further education colleges.

Achieving Artsmark demonstrates that a setting:

• provides excellent arts and cultural learning experiences for young people up to the age of 19
• enables young people to engage through creative learning
• supports successful and sustainable relationships with arts and cultural organisations
• is forward thinking and focused on ongoing development
• is committed to investing in its staff and community

For more information please visit the Artsmark website

How much does it cost?
£30 annual fee to join the Artsmark network which includes face-to-face training, resources and access to the online application form.

£50 application fee which includes a validation visit from an experienced arts professional, certification and use of the Artsmark logo. You must be a network member to apply for Artsmark status.

Last year 18 further education colleges gained the Artsmark and 14 of these were Skills Academy Education Partners. This year under the development of Trinity College London and 10 regional Bridge organisations, we are supporting all our members to go through the process.

Step 1 Take part in the FE Quiz to see what stage your colleges is at.
Step 2 Register for the Artsmark network for just £30* and access all the support and guidance you need.
Step 3 Once part of the network you can start preparing your online application and when you are ready to submit, you pay £50* which includes a development and validation visit, a feedback report and certificate.

The application will help you evaluate your provision by benchmarking against criteria. This will allow you to identify areas for development and highlight your strengths in the arts. During the process you will need to gather evidence demonstrating quality outcomes and the impact of your arts offer

In order to host a celebration event in April 2014, we have set the following deadlines. Training in early October, completion of application forms by mid-November, and an Assessment booked for early February.
