Creative & Cultural Skills, Creative Skillset and the BALTIC joined forces to run Careers event

Just before Easter, Creative & Cultural Skills, Creative Skillset and the BALTIC joined forces to run a Careers event for young people in the North East. Supported by the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, the event provided great insight into working in the visual arts. Staff from the BALTIC spoke about their role in the BALTIC and what their career pathway had looked like, as well as giving great advice on how to get into the sector.

Feedback from participants included,  Bethan 21 – Cleveland Art & Design student who said "It was really interesting to see the range of jobs available in an arts venue".

Yanna – 16 from  Benfield School "It was great to learn the true ins and outs of the industry and widely it affects other people. It was also nice to see such raw passion"

Being a university student who has no idea what to do with their life means this was really helpful – Rebekah – 20 - Cleveland Art & Design student
