UK COLLEGES: Get your own bespoke training experience at The Backstage Centre

Since the keys were handed over in October 2012, we have been exploring how students can integrate with The Backstage Centre in Purfleet.

South Essex College have based the delivery of their Production Arts BTEC at The Backstage Centre over the last academic year. This partnership has led to student involvement in projects included TOWIE’s live Christmas broadcast, the Creative and Cultural Skills Conference 2013 and production days for Leona Lewis’ European tour. The opportunity for students to work in a professional environment is both rewarding and inspiring.

The design and specification of the building allows us to meet training needs at all stages of an individual’s career and develop multi-skilled technicians. For example, due to great support from Stage Technologies we are able to offer opportunities on the latest powered flying equipment from basic demonstrations and workshops up to full training on eChameleon software.

To talk about opportunities for your students please contact Emily Malcolm, our Education Manager for the Backstage Centre.
