Enter: 14-19 Student Design Competition with the Design Museum
FOUNDER COLLEGES: We are running a 14-19 Student Design Competition in partnership with the Design Museum and Shape Arts. The competition theme is: surprise. Please put your students forward.
The 14-19 Student Design Competition is run annually by the Design Museum and is open to young people aged 14-19 who are currently studying on UK design courses, or who take a keen interest in design.
This year Creative & Cultural Skills is pleased to be working in partnerhsip with the museum and Shape Arts to examine how we can make design more accessible and how the design industry and education can support each other at local level.
This year’s competition has a particular focus on SURPRISE.
This 2014-15 brief asks students to explore the following questions through their design development:
- How can design use surprise to change the way things are seen and experienced?
- How might an element of surprise be introduced into London’s Design Museum to create positive, but unexpected experiences for its users/visitors?
