Join the Digital Communications Team @TheatreCraft 2015!

About TheatreCraftTheatreCraft is the event of the year for a unique glimpse into the world of backstage theatre, held at the Royal Opera House. This free careers event for 16-25 year olds provides insight from direction to stage management, producing to marketing, and lighting to designing. TheatreCraft offers workshops, talks, demonstrations and one to one advice from our Ask the Experts zone from leading theatres and training providers.

About the Role: You will play a vital role as part of the digital communications team, assisting in boosting TheatreCraft’s online presence and feeding into the campaign during the build-up and throughout the event itself. Each member of the team will have the opportunity to produce creative, engaging online content, actively promoting the event by creating vlogs, blog posts, recorded interviews, flickr galleries, podcasts or writing articles. On the day itself, it will be your chance to continue this great work by posting live updates and exciting photos and videos of TheatreCraft 2015.

There are three main roles which will work across social media platforms and include:

  1. Bloggers (text-based content production, copywriting, editing)
  2. Vloggers (video-based content production)
  3. Digital Photographers (photography-based content for social media platforms)

About you:This is an ideal role for students who are involved in marketing, photography, or video production and has an active interest in social media. You should be a confident communicator, reliable and comfortable working within a team. You need to have a general understanding of Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. You also must be aged 18 older. 

Dates & Details: You need to be available to attend two briefing sessions held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday 8th and 15th November, as well as the event itself on Friday 20th November 2015. These briefing sessions will provide you with information, training and advice to fulfil the role confidently.

This is a voluntary role but provides great work experience for your CV or UCAS application, and we are happy to provide you with a recommendation on LinkedIn (subject to performance). Lunch will be provided on the day of the event.
