After graduating from the London College of Communication (formerly LCP), Paul worked for Peter Saville, Mark Farrow and Vaughan Oliver before co-founding the branding and design agency Form with partner Paula Benson in 1991.
Paul’s expertise is in art direction, 360º thinking in all aspects of graphic design and branding (print and digital), with a particular understanding of contemporary culture encompassing music, media, live events, TV/film, advertising, publishing, and events.
From cutting edge design and art direction for bands (as diverse as Depeche Mode, Girls Aloud, Pendulum and Elbow) to strategic thinking for larger corporate organisations, he is firmly committed to the difference good design can make to business.
Overseas, Paul has represented UK design for the British Embassy in Tokyo and Guadalajara (Mexico). In 2008 he and Paula were sponsored by ‘MexicanDesign’ to tour three cities in Mexico giving lectures and workshops in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. He has judged design excellence in Norway (Grafil), and participated at Pecha Kucha, Tokyo, alongside Thomas Heatherwick and Sebastian Conran.
Since 2010, Paul travels regularly to Monterrey, Mexico, as guest lecturer, teaching branding and design to students at the design college CEDIM.
