Martin is Group Creative Director of epitype, an ethical future company, and also a guest lecturer on ethical branding and ethical design, most recently at Goldsmiths, University of London.
He has 15 years design experience working on complex information architecture projects as well as branding solutions for some of the biggest and ‘coolest’ brands in the world. epitype was created to explore the area of values and how they can be used to inform design as a catalyst for positive change.
With an 11-year track record, epitype works specifically on helping businesses improve their actions through design and on social change projects globally. epitype is seen as a pioneering agency in the field of ethical branding.
Martin has also created VOW, a digital agency; Decoded, a research unit; and is curator of the Ethical Brand Network - a community of engaged brand managers looking to share knowledge around sustainability, corporate social responsibility and corporate ethics.
Martin spends most of his time trying to learn how to design less as a means to achieving better design.
