Chris Buckingham

Chris Buckingham is an avid supporter of crowdfunding and has been intrigued by the impact of this phenomenon ever since he discovered peer to peer consumer lending back in 2006. He now works with the crowdfunding community to help build smarter tools and frameworks for both the applicants and the platforms.

This work led to his founding the research and consultancy organisation minivation, which is dedicated to this area and uses action research methods to help crowdfunding stakeholders achieve their goals.

Beside running minivation, Chris is currently working on a research project with University of Southampton on crowdfunding, and also lectures on the subject for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Winchester.
