Organisation: Havering College of Further and Higher Education

Havering College of Further and Higher Education founded in 1947 is a successful, confident and community based College located in the leafy edges of Greater London and the County of Essex.  We boast inspirational learning environments with serious re-investments made in all areas including bespoke industry workshops, a fully equipped construction centre, advanced science laboratories, a completely new centre for the creative arts, and a full academic library.

The College is made up of faculty staff that are highly qualified professionals in their fields. We are dedicated to providing the most up-to-date and relevant information and skills training possible to provide a real edge for employment over other candidates and enhanced career prospects

With over 360 long and short courses, a high volume of tutor contact and opportunities to progress from the age of 14 through to post-graduate qualifications, there are courses at the College for students at all levels. We offer a really strong range of focused vocational undergraduate degree programmes that save students up to £17,000 than going up to a University.

Part-time and modular options are available for students and our innovative Business Development team organise Apprenticeships, Work Experience Placements, Enterprise & Employability Training and also develop bespoke courses that suit every business need. The College has extensive links with international businesses and major employers, including Crossrail, Ford, the NHS, Sony, Local Authorities, TfL, Thames Tideway, Fencross, Hovis, Tesco, EDF Energy, Stagecoach Group, LinkedIn and Microsoft, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Acadia Group, Kiss FM and The Really Useful Group.
