Having been educated at The Italia Conti Stage School, Melanie worked as an actress singer and dancer for many years, mainly in the West End of London, namely in A voyage Around My Father, the First West End Production Starring Alec Guiness and also the first West End Cast of The Rocky Horror Show.
Melanie changed her Career 17 years ago to working as a freelance professional make-up artist. Some of her clients include DJ Magazine, BBC, Robert Stigwood Orginisation, Saatchi and Saatchi, Dream Works, Bride and Groom, Womens Journal, Disney, Men and Motors, The Royal Opera House, The English National Theatre and Simon Cowell.
Alongside her make-up skills, Melanie has a wide base of experience working in Editorial Photographic, Film, TV and Theatre Make-Up. Melanie has worked as an Production Designer for The Guildford Conservatoire, Rose Bruford, The Drama Centre UAL and The Royal Opera House.
As part of her freelance work, she runs workshops and designs for Drama Schools and give lectures on make-up design. She has works with The Society of London Theatres, The V&A Education Department and The Theatre Museum Collections.
Melanie has recently qualified with an MA in Illustration for Camberwell Art College. She has exhibited work at the Medici Gallery in Cork St, Mayfair The Aude Kirk in Amsterdam and The Blackall Gallery in London.
