Our Fair Access Sector Support Programme is designed to inform, educate and empower the creative and cultural sector to adopt inclusive and lawful recruitment practices that support the development and inclusion of a more diverse range of talent across the sector and make better use of different work-based entry routes, alongside creating opportunities for young people to learn about the real jobs in our sector and make the step into meaningful employment within it.
This in turn benefits not only the cultural sector itself in terms of building resilience and sustainability, but also the communities and audiences it exists to serve and entertain.
Through a series of training sessions, digital guidance and ongoing 1:1 support, our programme includes demonstrating how Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion can be beneficial to employers and associated stakeholders in the sector, practical advice and guidance regarding entry routes that support enhanced diversity in the sector, and any relevant legal and best practice considerations regarding these entry routes.
Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, Creative Scotland and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, we're pleased to be able to offer this training free of charge to employers within those nations. We are currently exploring funding opportunities to make this available in Wales.
