The National Skills Academy network of education and industry delivers programmes designed to improve the provision of skills and training in the creative and cultural industries. Leadership Colleges take a strategic lead in the network, driving initiatives, influencing education policy

Programme Director for Creative & Cultural Skills, Rob West says "We were pleased to welcome Blackburn College to our FE Leadership Summit in Gateshead last term, and to our Apprenticeships Round Table in London. The college have already accessed our production day visits, with students going to the Manchester Arena and staff to the O2 in London."

"We're now linking them into our Make Art Not War programme and attaching an artist to work with the college on this our latest creative skills project. Great to have Blackburn flying the flag for the North West of England."
