Creative Careers events taking place across Northern Ireland

In March 2019 Creative & Cultural Skills are working with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to deliver four careers events specific to the creative industries in Northern Ireland.

These events are aimed at pupils aged 13-16 and will give them an opportunity to meet and engage with a wide range of industry professionals working in the creative industries. The pupils will also hear about the skills required for a career in the creative industries and the best ways for them to make that first step into the industry.

The events for pupils will be held:

  • Thursday 21 March: Belfast Metropolitan College, Belfast, 9.30am - 12pm
  • Friday 22 March: South West College: Enniskillen, 9.30am - 12pm
  • Thursday 28 March: North West Regional College, Derry~Londonderry, 9.30am - 12pm

We will also be holding an event for careers teachers and advisors. This is open to anyone who is interested in an opportunity to hear from and speak to industry professionals about how best to advise young people looking to pursue a career in the creative industries

  • 21 March: Belfast Metropolitan College, Belfast, 12.30pm - 3pm

This unique career education opportunity is free, but spaces are limited to 25 per school and must be booked in advance. 

Transport and support for teacher cover can be arranged if required – please state this as part of your booking.

We would encourage you to bring students aged 13 - 16 who have an interest in creative subjects.
