Important information for delegates at this year’s conference and awards ceremony
On Monday 1 April we will be gathering creative professionals, educators and policy makers in Cardiff City Hall, for a day of discussion, debate and best practices on breaking down barriers to entry for the cultural sector. Later that evening we will move over to the National Museum Cardiff to celebrate the 2019 Creative & Cultural Skills Awards!
Travel and Accommodation
Cardiff has strong transport links and should be easily accessible from most UK destinations. We've got advice on how to get there by air, rail, bus and car on the FAQs section of our conference page.
If you're planning to stay in Cardiff we have special offers available for delegates through our conference portal.
Conference registration will open at 10:30am in Cardiff City Hall, so make sure you get there early to enjoy tea and coffee, pastries, and the opportunity to meet your fellow delegates. You can also take a look at our exhibition space where we are pleased to be joined by 14-18 NOW, the National Museums Wales, Cardiff and Vale College, Coleg Gwent, University of South Wales, and others.
Conference will start at 11am sharp, with our first series of keynotes, and industry panel, taking us up to lunch. After lunch delegates have the chance to attend a breakout session of their choice, and will then return to the plenary for our final keynote speakers of the day, and our very popular apprentice panel. The conference will close at 4pm.
Take a look at our online conference programme for a full running order and details of all speakers. In response to feedback from last year's event, and in line with our environmental policy, we won't be handing out paper copies of the programme. PDF copies will be available for download, as well as online, and these will be circulated prior to the conference.
You will be able to sign-up on the day, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis, so it's best to book sooner rather than later!
At 6:30pm registration will open for the Awards ceremony, in the National Museum Cardiff, which is right beside City Hall. The dress code for the event is smart/elegant.
Dinner is due to start at 7:30pm and you will also have the chance to enjoy a performance by dance company Rubicon Dance.
The awards will be presented after dinner, with the event closing at 10pm. Remember to take a look at our full shortlist to get a glimpse of all the fantastic nominees who will be there on the night!
Photographs will be taken during the day which will be shared online, both on our website and social media accounts, and may be used in future promotional material.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you all there!
