ScreenSkills is leading a review of the National Occupational Standards for Sound Recording and Music Technology. Recording artists, producers, sound technicians and anyone else with specialism in sound technology are invited to workshops across the UK to help shape best practice.

New ‘Pathfinder’ school opens in Cardiff

Sarah Hughes, Head of Skills Academy Wales, attended the opening of Cardiff West Community High School. Through a contract with Cardiff Council, Creative & Cultural Skills acts as a ‘Cultural Broker’ for the school, developing opportunities through the Cardiff Creative Education Partnership.

Cultural Ambition partner named Museum of the Year

St Fagans National Museum of History in South Wales has been named the UK’s Museum of the Year. The museum, which is also a participant in the Cultural Ambition programme, receives not only the prestigious title, but £100,000 prize money.

Creative & Cultural Skills has been working with partners from the industry to develop curriculum materials to support the off-the-job training offer for different apprenticeship standards. Materials are now available for the Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager and the Level 3 Museums and Galleries Technician apprenticeships.
